When GOD Shows Up

I had a completely different blog planned out, but GOD had other plans. Sunday night we had village outreach. I don’t really like village outreach, I had already said I would speak that night (Yeah, women giving sermons is a little different for me, but this was my 5th or 6th one so I’m getting used to it) and it was a 1 ½ hour drive to a village that had never seen white people before so I was expecting to be worn out and in no way excited to be there. But GOD had other plans. I felt relaxed when we got there. I didn’t sense anything bad and I wasn’t...

Hello Rat!!!

Almost everyday our team has been working at the V. Colony or victory House, the  orphanage for special needs children. It is difficult to see what these children have to ovecome and the disabilities that they deal with on a daily basis. Here is a thought that occurred to me over a chicken dinner I had the other day, so I felt like sharing it with you…   After two-three hours of intense worship, stirring testimonies, and riveting messages, we are always invited back to a pastor, or an elder, or even a new believer’s house for dinner. We make our way over to that individual’s home or just stay at the church. We then wash up, which usually consists of well water dripped on your hands, and sit down to enjoy our meal.   The biggest part of the meal for the Indians is usually what type of...

life.

I just got word that my Grandpa passed away. Sorry this is the first blog I post in India…. but I feel like I need to process through my thoughts and emotions and after talking with sisters and family…. I need to just vent. Tonight I found out that my Grandpa passed away. I am still in shock. aside from the crying… I seem to be laughing a lot. My wires are crossed and all of the pain and frustration and sad feelings are coming out as laughter. On one hand I am thankful that he is in Heaven really enjoying life-  dancing around, boogying with God. What a sight that...
