People in India look down upon children with disabilities and do not want any association with them. Hello friends! Just a little more about what is happening here in crazy India. India is such an amazinfg place and i am enjoying more each day! Sunday we went to a local church that is part of the Indian Christian Ministries. It was such a cool experience for me.  When we walked into the church the pastor made us sit on the stage at the front of the church as a way of honoring us. After spending around two days in travel (45 hours), we made it to Ongole. My feet were swollen from travel, and our team was exhausted. Soon after we arrived, we were blessed by an Indian meal, and introduced to SCH (Sarah’s Covenant Home). Erin, our main contact at SCH, shared with us the heart and work of the home.   SCH works to meet the needs of 82 –soon to be 97 special needs orphans.   I look around; some people are dancing, letting the music pulse through their bodies, others have their arms raised and are enthusiastically swaying back and forth, while still others are on their knees. They’re all praying out loud at the same time and singing. They’re worshiping. We’re worshiping. Behavior like this has been surprising and was at first disconcerting for an extremely conservative, “frozen chosen” church-going girl like me. But one thing is clear: the spirit of God is alive and present in our 20×20 square foot worship hall....

Hello from India! I am so glad to finally have a second to sit down and let you all know what the Lord has done over the past few days. Our team has been going non stop since tuesday morning at 6:30 am. We traveled for literally 48 hours to get to our final destination, Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. We are so thankful for the Lords protection in all our travels so far.
