A day in the life…

My mom emailed me the other day and asked what a typical day is like for us and I just had to laugh cause you just never know… But I thought some of our avid blog followers  were wondering the same thing…what does serving in India look like? Well I'd be happy to tell you…. We wake up and eat breakfast have corporate worship and prayer time and get ready for the day. Then we roll out usually to SCH. Where we clean, love on kids, and do some administrative things (files, files, and more files)(which I have come to confirm I really love). Lately we've been...

The Lost Sheep

"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? Satan is real.

Growing up in a Christian family I was told a lot about God and how important a relationship with Him was.  When I went to church, a lot of the lessons were about God and his miraculous works He did on healing and teaching people. I always have known and believed that Satan was real, but I never thought he would ever attack me with anything. I can now...

Hearing God’s Word

How does God speak to you? How did God call you to serve in India?     "A thought–I don't know where it came from. But if it matches with scripture and is confirmed through prayer, then I know it was from God." -Hannah "It was something put on my heart. Not just a thought that went away." -Mack "A thought that questioned why I wouldn't go somewhere. It was confirmed through the the money that came in and a book which I read which dealt with a missionary in India. I hear God through other people and sometimes when I ask Him...

Christ Transformed Me

Two years ago the thought of coming on a trip to spend time with kids would have made me sick to my stomach. To be completely honest I didn't like kids very much. They were loud, needed too much attention, and always had some type of bodily fluid coming out of them:(  When my niece was born my heart softened a little bit, but the real change occurred when I began to pray that God would give me a love for children. God did more than that. Here I am in a children's home for kids with special...
