Before we left for debrief I was
getting anxious about what it would be like. Since we decided not to have any
expectations, I had no idea what it would be like. The great thing about that
is that its always a surprise. It was better than I could have imagined. I was
able to play drums at the School of Worship. I’ve missed playing music since I
came here. But God knew how much I would love this and He opened the door for
me to do this. I was so excited.
During
one of the worship services in the morning God showed me something that I will
never forget, nor do I want to. He showed me that there is no language
difference in worship. It doesn’t matter if we sing in English or Telegu, we’re
still worshipping the same God. I love that feeling of being able to worship
while surrounded by two dozen Indians and to see them so on fire for God is an
absolute blessing. God is doing some great things in the students there and
they are getting ready to go out and spread that fire.
There is no other place that I want
to be right now than here in India. I have seen God’s heart and it is so much
bigger than I imagined. He has shown me the depths that He is willing to go to
reach out to the lost people here and there is no limit to what He can do. He
is a God who is bigger than any situation we will ever face.
It’s
comforting to think about that. God can handle whatever you are going through.
Wow. So no matter how hard we think our problems are, God is still bigger then
that. God is bigger then the addiction. God is bigger then the pain in your
heart. God is bigger then the worry of tomorrow. God is bigger then… you fill
in the blank. Whatever you’re going through, God has your back.
My
eyes have really been opened with this experience. I thank God for the
opportunity He gave me in coming here. I’m so grateful for everyone back home
who prays for me. I can tell that they make a difference.
