We spoke with India team leader Carin, and the team has safely arrived in Calcutta. On their way to Calcutta from Ongole, the girls were able to stop long enough for a movie and some Baskin Robbins. Kids are gross. There’s no doubt about it. Imagine every bodily function you are capable of having happen all at the same time, to multiple children, all in the same room. Yet the only thing separating kids from adults hygiene-wise is that we are just better at hiding our grossness. India is beautiful. Although I have only seen a small part of it, I know I will likely return. I must admit that my love of this place has grown. Initially I expected to be enamored with India immediately– this was not the case.  The development of my love has been a process…much Like most things in this country. Interacting with the kids at the orphanage has helped my love grow as well as the support and encouragement I receive from my FABULOUS teammates.
